We have teamed up with Gem Radio and Cash For Kids, to help kids across Nottinghamshire this Christmas.
Our very own MaryClaire and Tom, have been busy organising a tour of our housing developments in Giltbrook and Bestwood, with a view to collecting presents for ‘Mission Christmas’, an annual event run by nationwide charity, Cash for Kids.
We will also be backing that up with a charitable Christmas Jumper Day – and MaryClaire, the firm’s customer care manager, is excited at the prospect of doing her part to bring some extra festive joy to the region’s children.
She said: “These two initiatives are to help Cash For Kids in the Midlands. That means it will directly benefit the people in our communities, ensuring that no local child wakes up without a gift on Christmas morning.
“The first initiative involves filling a company van with donated presents and taking them to the local Mission Christmas HQ on December 12th, so that the charity’s Midlands branch can provide the region’s disadvantaged kids with much-needed gifts.
“The second initiative involves encouraging our staff, partners and suppliers to raise money by paying £5 per person and dressing up in outlandish Christmas jumpers. McCann, William H Brown, Poppy-PR and M360 have already committed to joining in the fun, so hopefully, we’ll be able to follow up our gift donation with a generous cash boost too.”
Cash for Kids was established by Bauer Media in 2012 to help children in need across the UK. Its mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people who are affected by poverty, illness or neglect.
Matt Postlethwaite, project manager at Cash for Kids Midlands, said: “In 2019, we delivered gifts to nearly 11,000 disadvantaged kids across the Midlands – and this Christmas, with the added impact of the pandemic, we know that more families than ever will be pushed to the limit.
“It makes a huge difference when companies like Peter James Homes step forward and support us in our work – so we would like to extend our sincere thanks, both to the wearers of fundraising jumpers and to the givers of Christmas gifts, for their help and generosity.”

If you want to donate a present, you will find the PJH Van by the pond at the Pentrich Fields development in Giltbrook on Saturday 12th December from 10–11am. It will then be at the Kings Park development in Bestwood (on the footpath outside 151 Bestwood Road) from 11.30am–12.30pm.
